Hello all.

I have been playing with recording my scanner on my PC. The program I have been using is scanrec. I have tried all sorts of recording options and the sound is very distorted. Any help or ideas why? What should my settings be at? Any other software better?

thanks

Thanks everyone. I had the scanner plugged into my mic jack instead of line in. The links helped out big time and it sounds great. Thanks!

One solution another member mentioned to me that will improve your recording is to uncheck the AGC.
right click your speaker icon.
choose recording devices.
click the one your scanner is hooked up to.
click properties.
then the custom tab.
uncheck AGC.
improved my recording considerably.
