RECENTLY I READ & FORGOT WHERE SOME SITES ABOUT COMPUTER CONTOLLED SCANNER AUDIO RECORDING & ALSO FRQUENCY/TG RECORDING. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED.

i use ID Tracker with my 796D and 296D it has an option to record
selected frequencies or if trunking selected TG's

I use Dave's program too -- it's great.

do you have a computer controlled scanner already? regardless, you can do this using any scanner. Just have a cable from the speaker output to the line-in on your soundcard. Then just use the MS recorder to record, although it only will do 60 second clips. But if you get your hands on TotalRecorder, you can record as long as you want.

Yea, I forgot to ask the original poster what scanner he uses. Because without a Computer Controlled Reciever (CCR) you will not be able to log the Freq/Time/TG/ or anything about the stream.
