when i got the bcd396xt alaska poped up how do i change than say to texas

Those are probably the preloaded systems. Go into the menu and delete the ones you don't want, like Alaska.

I deleted all of the preloaded systems and made my own. I would suggest downloading a software program like Freescan and download what you want from the database.
