Does anyone know what would cause receive issues in an old Regency Whamo-10 scanner?
I can turn the squelch completely off, and select the local NWS weather band and hear nothing but static. Sometimes it does come in loud and clear though, like if you let it sit unplugged for a bit and plug it back in.
Bad caps? I've checked the connections of the "combs" and everything looks clean, I've also checked the internal connections (those I could see) and everything looks ok.
Any ideas?
