Regional Transportation Authorities

[GTR8000]

In keeping with the cleanup of NYS and bringing it up to the latest database standards, the following four Regional Transportation Authorities have been created. Because these agencies span multiple counties, the listings will no longer be contained within each individual county, but will instead reside inside these areawide agencies:


Capital District Transportation Authority - Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady

Central New York Regional Transportation Authority - Cayuga, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego

Niagara Frontier Transit Authority - Erie, Niagara

Rochester-Genesee Regional Transportation Authority - Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, Wyoming


They can also be accessed from the main NYS page of the database in the New York State Agencies section.

In a similar vain, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and Port Authority of NY and NJ also have their own agency pages, and their respective frequencies will no longer be listed under New York County.

156.045 MHz I dont know the Pl tones for them but as I knew it years ago each bridge had it's own pl tone to eliminate interference from each other, other frequencies are 915. MHz 461.3875 MHz 461.5125 MHz 469.2125 MHz 464.2125 MHz 466.3875 MHz & 466.5125 MHz under callsigns WPLT661 & WQCW612 respectively., these frequencies are listed for the Mid Hudson Bridge & may not reflect additional frequencies used by the 4 other bridges in the system, thanks for your time.

The Bridges are running a UHF system now. WQCW612 covers all 5 bridges although there listed as straight repeaters. the 915 freqs are for the ezpass system

Data from FCC licenses alone is not enough to add those frequencies to the database. If someone has personally confirmed frequencies in use for the NYSBA, I'd be more than happy to create an agency for them.

Checking the FCC ULS, looks like they have five conventional licenses and one trunked license.

KNET209 - Highland Bridge (Ulster) - 156.045

KNET210 - Bear Mountain Bridge (Orange) - 156.045

KUN519 - Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge (Ulster) - 156.045 Repeater

KUN521 - Rip Van Winkle Bridge (Greene) - 156.045

WPXD286 - Newburgh-Beacon Bridge (Dutchess) - 156.045

WQCW612 - UHF Trunked license for all five locations - 461.3875, 461.5125 and 464.2125


If we can get some local ears on that VHF conventional frequency, as well as the three UHF trunked frequencies, maybe we can get something going in the database.

I have seen there trucks and offices NO Highband antennas......someone closer will confirm

All the NYSBA trucks I've seen for the Mid Hudson Bridge all have 1/4 wave UHF antennas.

Okay sounds like we've basically eliminated the VHF frequency as no longer being current. Is anyone close enough to any of these bridges to figure out what their UHF trunked system is all about?

I've monitored the Mid-Hudson/FDR Bridge on their standard LTR trunking system. The LCN order seems to be:
1) 461.3875
3) 461.5125
5) 464.2125
The trunked signal is quite weak on the east side of the bridge. Nothing heard on 156.045 since the new system was first logged in early 2007.

All of Centro of Oneida County operate on JPJ's MPT1327 system. and have 3 channels Ch1 Fixed Route, Ch2 Call A Bus, Ch3 Maintainence.
