• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Relm 7500

Answers to your questions:

1: No supposed to be a feature they add via a firmware update however have not seen it yet.

2: See #1

3: According to the software 32 zones or 256 channels

4: Yes

5: No not that I am aware of

6: I guess you could if they are all in one zone would be the only way I can think of

7: They are excellent as good as a Motorola however not as expensive however I don't use it for Public Safety so if you are maybe better off with Motorola but its a great radio for the money.

Programming issues

I am trying to work thru some Programming issues with this Radio. Its seems that the Operating system is causing issues, according to the company I bought if from .

Wondering if anyone has some experience with this problem. I have the USB cord, the software and of course the radio... I need to get the radio to see the computer and vice versa...

Anyone have any ideas...

Really want my new radio in service so we can buy for all the members but if I can't resolve I will have to go through this all over again...

Had the same problem with mine. I had to get the latest driver for the USB to radio cord. You can find it by googling prolific technology inc for their PL-2303 USB to serial driver. Even got it running in Windows 7. Make sure you uninstall the driver that didn't work prior to using the new one.

Hello Sir I see you have the TC-780 and thats great I love my radio however my 2 toning is hit and miss. Does the 2tone call under radio call have anything to do with the radios 2tone decoding/alert function? thanks and stay safe!
