On a trip to Vermont this past weekend, I let my VX-6 scan 450-451 and 455-456 MHz while in the Newark area. I found the following:

450.0875 - WCBS-880 - Traffic reports from helicoptor.
450.3875 - WNBC-4 - Audio from Today Show (not continuous).
450.8125 - Unknown: who??? - Traffic reports.

Although these remotes aren't as busy as 10-20 years ago, they still can be interesting. Do you know of other frequencies? Thanks.

I hate throwing water on a party, but remote broadcast transmissions are "protected" by ECPA'86. I wouldn't be boasting too loudly about listening to that stuff.

Mick, thanks for http://www.wiscomm.com/media/nycmedia.htm and thanks for a very interesting link. Sorry for the delay in replying; I've been backed up here. Actually, I looked at the home page and found the national listing that includes Philadelphia. I'm about 30 miles from the city and that selection is of day to day interest as I can hear some of the media freq's while in the car.
