PCR Remote Control

PCR Remote Control enables you to control your Icom PCR-100,PCR-1000 or PCR-1500* over the internet. Using SHOUTcast or a similar Audio Server, you "Broadcast" your radio over the internet allowing others to hear whats going on in your local community.

*PCR-1500 support is limited at this time.

This looks interesting! Has anyone tried it?

Thanks!

I just downloaded it and will give it a try in the near future. There is also another way to control a PCR1000 remotely, via a program called Shortwave Log. The 1000 can be manipulated via a remote radio client within shortwave log, and also has the option to be controlled via a webpage. I have one set up at the following address:

http://scanmassachusetts.no-ip.org

This program also requires a separate audio source. In my case I use Teamspeak to provide near realtime audio. The Teamspeak Client must be installed prior to use. Either the remote client or the web control has a button labeled Teamspeak, which when clicked logs the user into my Teamspeak Server and places them in the WCR channel for audio reception. It works very nicely.

I have a second 1000 and will try out this new software as well; it looks pretty neat. Thanks for providing the info.
