Remote head for PSR-500/600

I am looking to get a PSR 500 or 600 in the near future, I am just wondering if anyone knows if there is going to be a remote head made for these scanners anytime soon?

I had the same idea and back in Jan. 2008 I put a ticket in at GRE. A "Jack" e-mailed back and said 'that the 500 and 600 are well suited for re-head devices, but at this time they do not have any plans to produce one. However, he said, the door is wide open for any third party manufacturer to create such a product. He also said he thought it was agood idea and he would bring it up with their engineering and management.' I really would like to have one too, and would purchase it was reasonably priced. It might be if a number of people would contact GRE and express their interest in getting a remote head, they might decide to manufacture one. ARE THERE ANY OTHER GRE 500/600 OWNERS OUT THERE THAT WOULD BE INTERESTED IN A REMOTE HEAD FOR THEIR RADIO?

I will also contact GRE to express some interest in that.
And I will also make sure that I tell them to make sure the remote head can turn the radio on and off also.... Not like some other manufacturer....... :roll:

Since the radio is controllable, it seems like someone could come up with software to operate it via a PDA or something like that. The only drawback I see is that the volume and squelch are not remotely controllable. If this were to be rectified...in a future model, let's say..., I'm sure that software could be developed for a great remote head.
