Remove bug mode from an Alinco DJ-X11 & searching between two set frequencies

Hi my trusty MVT7100 died recently and under advice from my local scanner hardware shop was recommended to replace the 7100 with a DJ-X11.

The manual is nothing like what is showing on the scanner's menu's. The firmware is 2.8. concerning as unless i am looking at the wrong alico www site, the latest version on there is 2.6

My problem is that i want to remove rthe bug search option from the screen. I have seen it done and i think i had previously done it before a full reset was needed.

Also unless I'm missing something, the DJ-X11 looks like will not scan between two user set frequencies e.g the frequency range of marine band for instance. Is this correct or am i missing something there too?

I may be wrong here but I thought a frequency range search was a feature of the 7100 and newer scanners. I don't know what 'bug search is, but likely can be turned off within the menu.
Enter limit 1- enter limit 2- enter step size and press scan. Audio or RSSI mute on.
Of course a dealer will try to sell you on a newer radio, but if the 7100 with latest firmware
will do what you want, then your call to switch radios.
Sounds like you need the right user manual for the X11 though.
