How good would the reception be with the Remtronix 820s on an SDS100 with DMR systems? Specifically Sequatchie and Marion counties and Puckett EMS?

Antennas don't receive DMR any better or worse than analog, antennas receive frequencies better or worse depending on what frequency they are designed for. So you need to pick one for the frequencies you won't to listen to, not the mode.

1. DMR is a voice protocol. Antennas are tuned for band, not voice mode
2. Since you're asking about particular systems, perhaps you should ask for this thread to be relocated to the Tennessee forums? (click Report link beneath your posting) There may be somebody there who is familiar with them and can recommend what to use

The fact is that antenna is optimized for 700-900 MHz will be marginal. You should use one for the 150 MHz, where that system/conventional frequencies are. The antenna that came with the scanner might work better.

But, who knows. It just might work. No harm in trying.

My 700/800 MHZ Remtronix antenna works very well on our local ( Repeater is very close) UHF DMR system.
