Is the remtronix antenna that is supposed to give much improved reception on 700/800 Mhz made by Alinco ?

Remtronix is the North America distributor for Alinco.

It looks just like the one Rat shack used to sell. They worked pretty good on 860 MHz but were not very durable. The gain claim is laughable at best.

Thanks I will stay away from connectors . For now , The blue band antenna does a good job now .

I have all of them. The blue band stub, original stub the Retromix 7inch re-do of the RS800Mhz, The Actual RS800Mhz itself AND the best one
the NAF5084 from Wiscomm.
I have an adapter for the Retromix and RS800Mhz. I have found through driving and home tests that the Motorola
NAF5084 works best on the G5 *especially for longer distances. WE discussed all this before at this thread
