I have not been on here in a while. Why is there a ban on the good stuff? Was this a joint decision between the department and this Site?

There's no ban on anything.

What good stuff are you talking about?

Who's the department?

You're not making much sense.

Go to Renfrew county police. It says all the good parts have been removed. I am trying to figure out what this means.

here is what is on the Renfrew feed page.

" Renfrew County Police, Fire, and EMS

*BROADCAST LOCKOUT* This means RadioReference.com rules forbid you from hearing the good stuff. Do not submit "Audio Problems" it's the rules of the site you cannot hear this good stuff."

I'm here a lot
Hmm... Interesting strategy to get higher feed numbers. Currently sitting at 12th out of the Top 50 Feeds.

Looks like the feed provider doesn't like the Terms of Service and has chosen to put that message on his feed.

This is really a Live Audio Listener problem so I'll move the thread there and the Live Audio Admins can answer.

Probably referring to LE TAC, VICE, Records, warrants channels, etc, which is not allowed for obvious reasons (sensitive channels).

It has nothing to do with getting people to listen the feed does that on it's own. Sits in the 100 or more range each night. What the issues are is when a talkgroup comes on which RR.com doesn't allow it is automaticlly muted on the feed and the alpha tags say Broadcast Lockout (Proscan has a feature to do this) and then people start putting in audio issues because they hear nothing.

RR.com is not flexible when it comes to the rules so there is no other choice. Recently there was a small plane crash nearby and the police wanted to get the comms off the main dispatch channels so they used a TAC channel which happens often. Then all the people who wanted to listen (about 300) couldn't hear anything.

Not sure how it works in other PD's but the OPP use TAC channels to just get traffic off the main OPS channels sometimes.

I agree to NOT broadcast dedicated tactical, car-to-car, SWAT, narcotics, detectives or any other channels or talkgroups that are not routine dispatch or special events related. OPP TAC channels are not dedicated to any of these things but the rr.com owners never want to listen.

anyways now you know the story.
