• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Anybody have any idea who is on 150.200 - Units go by "Defender" with a number - also after each transmission ends the word "BLACK" is sent in morse code - my only guess is maybe the Army Air National Guard out at the Stead Airfield or maybe the Air National Guard here at Reno Tahoe International but they usualy identify with "RYAN" as they are also on our channels on the Washoe EDACS System

150.2000 is a frequency normally used by the Air Force but it could easily be as you suspect.

Yea - somebody told me it was a Nellis Rage freq - but I can't see me hearing them that good up here in Reno - its a real strong signal - and I would be hearing other Nellis stuff if I could hear that and I don't - I'll have to nose around out a Stead with my 246 and 996 and see if I can get it on close call - that would about nail it.
