Reno Fire "Red" patched with TM "Main"

There is a wildland fire on washoe hill now and i am hearing the same traffic on reno red as i am on TM main.

When Dispatch transmits, it comes across on reno red (401 dec 03-021 afs ), but when the units respond, it comes across on TM main.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

When the fire just started TM Main was announced as a command channel. I am sure most were set on that channel pretty early, although there were not too many different units on that freq as traffic and an accident kept units from responding at that time to Andrew lane.

I wasn't monitoring Reno Red so I missed that. The other two at the time were Minden and WF1 (for structure protection). What other frequencies did you hear, I took a break and then listened to the aircraft for awhile.

i live in reno so i can't get the white and red freq's because i'm too far away..the same goes for air to ground. i was just listening to NDF, BLM, Reno RED (which is repeated), and TM Main (which was the most active channel).

als365, dont they use WF1 and RF1 out there, supposed to be NV and CA wide. TM is now part of RNO fire, and those channels probably are simulcast(and repeatered) now, until the TM units get edacs capable,

yes they do but they're not repeated, they're just line of sight and the fire was too far south for me to pick up red and white channels. NDF red and white fire tac channels along with the repeater channels are NOT simulcast on the EDACS system for washoe county. TM Main is a VHF frequency that i have heard simulcast sometimes but other stuff is simulcast on the talk group that TM main is simulcast on that is not TM Main traffic
