Hi all,
It seems they (PD,Fire) have gone quiet on their old frequencies. I haven’t heard them on the 800 patched ID. Has anyone heard them on the same ID or a new assigned one by chance?

Just heard Rensselaer Fire Dept., but haven't heard police yet today.

Rennselaer FD is assigned TAC7, TAC27 and TAC37, plus TGID 1006.

Rensselaer PD is on TGID 232.

Interesting. I did notice the FD on Tac 7 and the others mentioned a couple posts back. So PD has an updated TG as does FD?

As far as hearing the Rennselaer PD and FD on the Albany System, good catch! Which cell is this heard on?

Also I’ve heard different entities working together on their “neighbor’s” TG. For example, North Greenbush and Rennselaer City on same TG. At the time it was NG’s.

Is it me or do we have a difference of opinion on a couple of these TG ID’s? Once they have been confirmed a DB update would be optimum.

Confirming same here on 232 or 1006. interesting too that they are on the Albany Metro. Hearing them both just fine there. I thought that 9904 looked familiar. It used to be “Interoperability 4.”

9904 is an Interop group, used during incidents involving units from other counties (among other things). Out-of-county units are not dispatched there. Sometimes and interop patch can be heard long after the incident for which it was activated has ended.

EDIT: This talkgroup is on the Albany County system, not the Rensselaer County system.

I logged 1006 a while ago while migrations were still happening all over the place. RFD might have been patched to it for an incident or something.

Side by side my 325p2 with the Rensselaer city FD 1006 on hold and my SDS200 holding on 9904 it's the same, no mention of county to county with Albany.

Yes indeed 232 and 1006 are on Rensselaer County’s System. I did not mean that these TG were on Albany. What I meant was that it was interesting that “they”, Rennselaer PD and FD were on the Albany Metro with TG’s 21381 and 9904 respectively ( the old county interop). I’ve heard them both here today

it would appear that 232 (on Rennselaer County) is dormant and has been replaced by 1005 for Rennselaer City PD. And Rennselaer City FD is on 107 (the old Tac 7) . And I’ve heard these both today too.

That could be. There are several examples of transmit sites for a given area along the Hudson being on the opposite side of the river.

Rensselaer has long been a kind of "East Albany" for law enforcement purposes, using the Albany auto impound and APD detectives.

some mention on the FD side of radio problems, FD seems to back up on 460.550 and tac 7 (Rensselaer City FD county TG). Still cannot hear Police on any of the mentioned TG's or old channels.

Checking to see if there is an update in this topic? Have been using an SDS100 for a number of years now listing to Renss PD on 460.125. I just found this post and have updated by SDS100 adding Renss PD using the county P25 system but still hear nothing on either analog of digital. I’m using Sentinel to program my SDS100. Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thank You!
