I have a Pro 83 that looks a bit worse for wear and I'm thinking of disassembling it and painting the case. What the hell was Radio Shack thinking? silver & brown.....
Has anyone repainted their scanner?
If so, what paint did you use and how durable was/is it?
It would be great to get the rubberized coating - similar to what the Eton E5 / Grundig G5 have on them - in a spray can. Has anyone used Plasti Dip aerosol spray?
I broke the radio down last weekend to clean it and I think I can do good job.
I'm need to come up with a way to replace the silk-screened lettering in the key-pad area.
I'm thinking of using a decal printing kit for models or dry-rub transfers if I can find some that small.
If all goes well I'll post pics.......
