I've had the above scanner for several months now & it has worked great. It has developed an "Open Squelch" issue which I've tried to resolve for about 2 weeks.
I've done a complete reset of the rig which didn't accomplish anything. I've also removed the backup batteries which seems to have cured the problem.
Has anyone found out "what" the problem really is with this radio. is it a capacitor causing the open squelch problem when the back up batteries are installed or what.
I sure would like to find out the repair issue is so I can put the batteries back into the rig to retain the memory. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Tom
