Not sure if this place is in BC but it is up in that "neck o the woods" so give him a try.
If not he may be able to steer you in the right direction.

Send the radio back to the factory. It will take less time and it will be done correctly.
Most radio shops, scanner dealers are not going to actually fix your scanner they will send it out.
Radio shops charge a decent amount to work on two way radios and if it took a few hours it would not be worth it. You can even buy a used one on ebay or here on RR at perhaps a better price.

what is wrong and which type unit do you have, like the post above stated maybe the factory direct is your best bet?
