Don't know exactly where to post this but I am looking for a replacement belt clip for my used SDS100 scanner. Just got it today and belt clip is missing. Thanks for your suggestions. Maybe another Uniden scanners clip would work and be easier to find?

Is the round clip mount still screwed onto the back of your SDS100?

Both the round clip part and the actual clip itself can be purchased from Uniden Parts. Sorry, I don't have the links but look for the parts under the 396T/XT models and they will fit the SDS100. The 436HP clip should fit as well. I'm not sure if the 436HP or SDS100 radio models are listed for parts purchase yet but the older models above will work for the clip and at least one should also have the round clip mount if that part is also missing from yours. I don't think Uniden sold the set with the round clip mount and the clip together so they must be purchased separately if both are missing.
Also, pay attention to the look of the actual belt clip. At least one of the older scanner models or the Marine radio had a beefier belt clip as could be seen in the parts picture. I'm not really sure they were stronger but they look like they could be! Both fit the same round clip mount.
Another thing, Uniden sold plastic and machined aluminum round clip mounts. If yours is missing, try and find the aluminum version as it will definitely be stronger. Some may come with machine screws though while the SDS100 uses more of a sheet metal type screw. The actual round clip hangar on the back of the SDS100 has always been the better aluminum type so hopefully yours is still on the radio.

At least one of Uniden's Marine portables also used the same clip.

Somebody will probably post some links to the parts here.

Thanks, kruser! Yeah the circular part is still attached. You gave me some good pointers!

If you purchase a new scanner that is missing parts, we will send free replacements (of course if we don't have stock, there may be a wait)
contact me with your proof of purchase, name, address and phone number and I can get that sent out.

Thanks for the info but this was the purchase of a used scanner.

Comment on another group regarding a defective SDS100 belt clip button being replaced with this one and working perfectly. Seems like Unien should have included the metal one for the price of this unit, maybe they'll start. At least we know this is a direct replacement, link below.

I just received and installed the Uniden BCH396T Belt Clip Hanger Assembly ( the button ). It is a perfect replacement and feels solid. It's hard to imagine why Uniden can't supply this mounted as opposed to the plastic one the SDS-100 comes with.

Really? The SDS100 I purchased a few months ago has a black plastic one on it, not aluminum... Uniden must have started cheapening out on that part then. :( There are posts on another board I'm on of people saying the plastic one splits into pieces very quickly thus my looking to buy the aluminum.

If yours is missing, try and find the aluminum version as it will definitely be stronger.

Yup, someone did, see my post above this one.

Yup, I saw that post! I think this person is the first that came back and verified they fit.
Did you notice Uniden said that part fits the BCH396T! I didn't notice that little goof until I saw your hyperlink.

Well they're also telling people you have to buy the screw separately and it appears to me that its included in the item I put the link for... but can't ask for clarification as like many, the thread is closed.
