I found out like a few more folks that the scanner had a protective cover over the screen and it is what was scratched up. So we removed it and it was clear.
Yesterday we dropped the PSR-800 and it looked like the screen was a little tilted but it was ok. So we took it apart real careful as the y tube video instructed to see if it damaged on the inside of the LCD screen and the LCD screen is taped to the circuit board and would not move. When we put it back together some of the buttons would not work, like the volume and others. Has any one ever had this trouble when they took it apart to clean.

Ive messaged Whistler to see if the
parts for their 1080 are available
along with a PSR500 style beltclip..Ive
heard nothing..
Ive also messaged a couple times regarding their
trade in program to see what they will pay for my 800
if I wanted to upgrade to their 1080..Again,,Nothing.
Its a little fustrating,Im worried that their lack of response
is a prelude to any future contact regarding service issues.
