replacing LCD in my pro-96

I dropped my scanner in a bucket of water... go figure! I took it apart and used a hair dryer on it. one day later it seems to be working fine except the LCD doesn't work. So I went onto the site, got the catolog and part number and ordered it.
Does anyone know if I will be able to replace it myself?
