I plan to replace the ssd drive on my second computer. If I understand correctly, I need to remove Proscan activation first? Then reinstall Proscan and add key after the job is done? Thanks! :)

Yes on 2 pcs I replaced ssd on first one after a crash with ssd. I plan to replace ssd on second one as it's the same age as the one that went bad. Thanks!

Your original guess is correct, remove the activation then simply use the same code to reactivate the new installation.

Registration is stored in the windows registry. If you install a new operating system, you need to remove the original activation and reactivate on the new OS so you don't lose a seat.

I removed the activation and installed new SSD. I've installed Windows 11 pro on the new SSD. It's got some bugs in it they are suppose, to be working on. I'm going to let it run for a while before installing and and activating ProScan again. I still have ProScan on my other PC I can use. Thanks folks!
