Report of AZDPS Trooper Shot I10 & Dysart

Multiple agencies working a scene at I10 & Dysart. Reports are a Trooper was shot and was in a fight with a subject. Firebird helicopter on scene, Radio traffic is on DPS Metro West. Just heard the suspect is on the way to the hospital, no word on the Troopers condition. Multiple cars were hit by gun fire.

One trooper was injured by a gunshot, a second trooper, who had only graduated the state trooper academy in May, lost his life, according to a video statement by Colonel Milstead on the DPS Facebook page.
