Responding to submission notes

It is unfortunate that the thread I started got locked so quickly. There is a problem (in the system, not with the people) when it comes to replying to submission notes.

The link in the email from a DBA does not log the submitter into RR. Whenever I try to respond that way, I get "Access Denied". I have to log in, then find the ticket and locate the relevant note. It would be helpful if the link contained a login string.

(With respect to having email addresses on file, I do not save old conversations that have concluded.)

Receive RR email, log into RR with browser, click link contained in email. Pretty simple, huh?

Took me about 2 seconds to fix that. There's really no need to be passive aggressive about all this. Work out the issues in private email or the submission system.

I'm not sure who is being passive aggressive here. I do see some defensiveness.

If the prior thread had not been locked so quickly, I would have made the above comment there. Evidently this posting needed to have been read more carefully. Lindsey got the point OK and has apparently corrected the issue, and I thank you.

Dave, if you aren’t sure, then let me point it out a little more directly to you. You are being passive aggressive, OK?

There was absolutely no need to post in a public forums a minor issue between a submitter (you) and an admin (GTR8000) when you darn well know how to get in touch with him and you use a lame ass excuse to excuse your passive aggressiveness.

Just stop already.

I had no way to get in touch at the time. As I described above, the link in the email did not permit access to the note in question. DBAs don't accept PMs. I do not save old email conversations, so I did not have an email address.

Again, what I see is defensiveness and circling of the wagons. The utility of the RRDB is close to being eclipsed by my irritation with its policies and communications. I am just about done here. Sharing the info that I discover is not really worth the aggravation.
