Rest in Peace Jim Resinger 1945-2007

A friend of mine has gone silent... Jim Resinger is one of the best dispatchers I have ever monitored. Jim was a long time Dispatcher for the Lexington Police Department... He started 35 years ago answering the calls for assistance with one hand, writing those complaints on dispatch cards and then dispatching those same calls while cradling the fone on his shoulder... This was before Lexington and Fayette County merged, he dispatched for the old Fayette County Police whose jurisdiction (if I remember correctly) was the middle of the median around New Circle Road and outward to the county borders. I will miss his wry wit (that defused more than a few tense situations on the streets), his apt observations and his seemingly endless respect for his fellow human beings regardless of station in life.

Very sad...looks like he definitely made his mark in life. Sounds like we lost a good man. God Bless him and his family!!
