RG-11/Beldon 1399R

I got around to replacing the crappy Rat Shack RG-58 50 foot cable from the discone with 40 feet of Beldon 1399R RG-11 type cable. I'm amazed. I'm hearing stuff I've never heard before, stuff that was barely readable is now strong and clear, and channels I had to lock out because of intermod are now clear.

So I would have to say yes you can use cable tv cable

RG-11 is good stuff when you can find it. I ran a bunch of that stuff for a internal TV system for a high school we wired almost 20 years ago. Kicking myself for not keeping some of the cable ends.
