You will always see B-Sealant on commercial connector installs and we don't use F connectors. :)

I buy all my RG6 at Lowes or Home Depot and I use twist on contactors but I have a crimping tool and cutters and everything.. I will use nothing but RG6..

Hard line? If you are talking Heliax, I have a scanner run using 7/8" heliax. 200' run up the tower going to an 8 port multi coupler.

On topic though I use N, TNC or BNC connectors exclusively for RF. The only thing I use a PL259 for is low band and HF. An N connector will terminate to your largest heliax or all the way down to RG58.
