I see the sigs getting bigger and bigger with all of the toys that one has ever owned how many of them even including whether they have ordered the newest one out there yet.

I was thinking of a way to use the Military Ribbons and Badges format to disclose your ventures into the various hobbies, services, agencies and equipment.

A ribbon for Hams based on Tech and so on. Sharpshooter badges for Code. Hell, I could even have PRO2006 1st oak leaf cluster. Maybe Ribbons for Packet, APRS, Laser, Trunking, ProVoice or smokesignals.

We could have ribbons for dispatchers, firefighters, police officers and wannabees. We could have badges for if you run a site, donate to a site or even a DB admin. We could have ribbons for the number of working antennae on your vehicle, the number of radios on at one time and what software programs you have.

Using the Ribbon and Badge manner we would always quickly know where we rank among each other and there would be a little more consistancy.

What do you guys think?

Who cares how anyone "ranks"? This isn't a popularity contest, and it's certainly not a branch of the military. I have my toys, you have yours...good enough.

I do, however see you point...esp. when looking at some sigs that have a list 10 lines long of equipment.

Uh huh, send your pictures to www.hamsexy.com instead of your brag lines here, they love trash. BTW, who won the whackerism contest, Alabama or West Virginia? (;->)

Me and hamsexy go way back like 4 flats on a caddilac.

I've had my radio desk on hamsexy one time. I was honored!

Not sure about the wackerism contest but we've got our share of 4WD trucks with lightbars on them. All of my strobes in my Z71 are hidden but then again, I'm a firefighter so it's all good.

Hi again,

Jason, southern Ocean County has it's share of rednecks only we call them pineys. Out in the Pine Barrens every little hick town has a dozen hunt clubs. Those that can afford a trip to the junk yard drive rusted pickups with gun racks behind the seat and those who can't drive bicycles looking like those made by the Wright brothers, equally rusty. Then some walk but they all wear flannel shirts, denim overalls, Grogans, habe long hair and beards sort of like ZZ Topp without the style. If you're walking down a sand track and hear a shot, turn and go the way you came, you won't hear the second.

Speaking of Blazing Saddles, "The sheriff is a ni ni ni ni ni...?" (;->)

represents the badges you would wear if you just have an AM radio in the car.

Before this continues...

I would like to state that I am not making fun in any manner of those who have fought, earned, have been decorated or died for any of these Badges, Medals or Ribbons.

I have earned a few of these myself and I know many who have given great effort, including thier lives defending our country. They all have my greatest repect.

With that being said...

LMAO!
