Does anyone know if the conventional channels listed in the DB are still used by Richmond county? As far as I know They are fully P25. Below is just a few that are listed.
460.175 ARC NARC
851.4375 SWAT 1
851.275 RC CST

460.175 was one of the two UHF freqs RCSO had since the early 1970s and was used until they went to Pal 800.

It seems very unlikely to me that any UHF radios would be used today, but it's certainly possible.

So do you know if the 800 channels are current talk-around channels? Or are old Also do you know if there was a PL on 460.175?

Yes, as far as I know, the UHF radios had PL.

I remember it being said that to use Ch. 3 (460.500/154.905 cross-band repeater to GA intrastate channel), turn off your "Channel Guard." On the old General Electric radios, "Channel Guard" was their term for PL.

It would make sense to me that the 800 freqs are probably talk around channels.

No, they are no longer using this frequency and have not for years.

I'm not aware of who submitted the ARC NARC frequency but I submitted the two 800mhz frequencies you listed there. I submitted them a few years back when I had a current copy of the code plug that was used in their radio's at the time. It's obvious that one is for SWAT and the other one is for the Crime Suppression Team. Now that they're using P25, on the Pal800 system, I have no clue as to what info is in their radio's now.

Those two frequencies are simplex so you'd have to be close (within a mile or two) to hear any radio traffic if anyone is using them. As far as I know, Richmond County did not have any 800mhz conventional repeaters. The RCFD had a VHF back up repeater located near the water treatment plant on Highland Ave. Each fire machine had a Motorola VHF portable to be able to access it. The repeater (an MTR 2000) was taken out of service about 10(?) years ago.
