Although the database here suggests the switch to the 800 astro was
going to happen in 6/2006, it appears to have occurred in the last day or so. I was just motoring about Ridgeland, and noticed two squad cars with 800 antennas and NO VHF antennas. Also, their usually active repeater has been quiet.
I hear a control channel on 860.2375, sounds conventional/3600.

ADDENDUM: Just put the freqs. in conventional mode, definately hearing active apco traffic on the 800 system, while vhf is dead
