Ridgewood Fire - Valley Hospital Operations

Has anyone ever heard traffic on the Valley Hospital fireground frequency?

Some report it to be 155.385 PL 192.8, other reports indicate a UHF repeater was installed at Valley and operats on 470.650 PL unknown.

Any confirmed reports would be appreciated. Thanks.

155.3850 192.8 was Valley Security (may still be???) When I was an EMT we had it in our rig as Valley Security with that PL. 470.6500 is used in Simplex with 136.5 PL, heard activity on it during the Ridgewood July 4th Fireworks.

yes they still use it... and it drives me nuts cuz they kill mobile life which is what i'd rather be hearing from up in orange/ulster/dutchess

It sounds like it's time to upgrade to a scanner capable of PL/DPL decoding.

I do have a pl/dpl capable scanner, but when I work in Paramus, they kill Mobile Life

Confirmed; Ridgewood F.D. now using a repeater on 470.650, CTCSS 136.5 MHz located on the roof of Valley Hospital for all Valley Hospital related fire ground traffic. Activity monitored on this frequency 9/15/06 during an F.D. response to a malfunctioning alarm.

OK What should I label it as on Bergenscanner? Valley fireground???

It's your website; label it whatever you want to.

The repeater is on the roof of Valley Hospital and I believe that's all it's used for; fireground communications at Valley.
