Rio Rancho PD still on analog?

I see some old posts from 2020~2022 where RR PD was suppose to go digital?

I am listening to 151.0775 and still have quite a bit of traffic there, using analog scanner.

Are they planning to go digital in the next 3yrs?

They are already on the P25 NMDTRS system. System patches still exist

Not sure, I would have thought that would have ended long ago.

Could be doing what a couple others are doing out south. Patches over to VHF still for other agencies not on dtrs for mutual aide until the VHF repeaters die or other issues arise resulting in no money being put into them. I know of one agency that is planning to maintain their VHF as fall back and is patched.

Not sure, I would have thought that would have ended long ago.

There are many (across the country) agencies who continue to patch for various reasons, despite being on a TRS (one near me has been trunking for over 25 yrs now)
Interop, Media, volunteers vs full time...
