Rio Rancho Simulcast switch today

All Rio Rancho police and fire are switching to the new simulcast system today. New system with new frequencies. From what I can tell so far:

New frequencies:

151.07750 (127.3) PD Dispatch

151.17500 (192.8) FD Dispatch

I'll continue to work on new channels.

I believe it is a voting conventional system. Several entities have been going this route throughout NM.

Listen to 154.085 and 154.205 to see if these are the inputs to the repeater.

I'm surprised they didn't go P25!

Their current upgrade was $1.1 million, what would the cost have been for P25?

Are we sure the 151.xxx freqs are the output, and not the input of the repeaters???

The 151.0775 PD and 151.1750 FD are the output frequencies. Both ends of the conversation is heard. The 154 freqs are low power and one sided.

While scanning for new Rio Rancho frequencies today I did notice a strong signal from 151.415, PL 151.4. It appears to be Sandoval Co Sheriff. I have not heard any traffic over 155.31.

I also noticed Rio appears to have updated the way their radio system works. Channel 1 used to be PD, Channel 2, Fire. I heard officers clearing a building today switch to channel 2. I highly doubt they were switching to RRFD. That said, I did a range scan for VHF frequencies and never heard the conversation from the scene, so it appears channel 2 is simplex and/or low power. Still working on finding more.

EDIT: The 151.415 appears to be a SCSO simulcast. While I do hear some of the same traffic on both frequencies, I hear more on the 151.415 and it is much more clear.

Very interesting, it seems that Sandoval has updated their system as well. 151.415 (151.4) is the main SO channel and I now found 151.3025 (167.9) is the SCFD main channel.

Rio Rancho has been using 155.805 (old main channel) on their old system as a side channel, not sure if it's going to stay that way.

On Sandoval SO, I'm hearing the same traffic on 151.415 and 155.310, so it must be in transition as we speak. This new system has towers in the ABQ metro area but nothing up North.

Is the old fire freq 155.145 still active or can I zap it from the DB. And what about the NCIC freq 151.235.

Right now, the old frequencies are re-broadcasting the new stuff, both SO and FD. The 151.235 is still actively the NCIC as far as I can tell.

On the Rio side of things, most traffic is on the new system. I only see activity on the old main channel 155.805 that seems to be acting as a secondary or NCIC channel when busy. I do not see any activity on the old side channels at all which would be 153.920 or 154.950.
