Anyone know what the "LED' light flashing on the back the headgear is for?

My Guess

1) Distinguish cops from none-cops if they are "interacting" with the public in a low-light situation
2) Distinguish cops apart from each other. i.e. red team, blue team, green team. Saw one cop with two lights, so maybe upwards of 6 different combinations.

In view of what those who wear the helmet are putting up with I would be hesitant to call it yellow. Its GOLD.
