It is with tremendous sadness to announce that Radio Reference forum member KI4RDO, Marco Rizk, left the earth last night. Please do not ask the details, just know that he is at peace and high above this madness of a world obsessed with instant gratification and selfishness. Marco was always an addition, never a subtraction. I met him on the "original" Scan Cobb forums way back in 2004. With encouragement from many, he became an active ham and avid radio enthusiast, a talented EMT, and a true friend who listened to me gripe about everything from the realities of life, to programming thousands of radios, over countless bowls of chips and salsa at Monterrey...the airwaves are quieter and not because we encrypted another talkgroup on 5B2 but because Marco isn't here to keep us sane. RIP brother, Billy Joel says "Only the Good Die Young" and you left us too soon.
