Anyone know what frequencies will be active during the Riverbend festival in Chattanooga. Probably make for some interesting scanning.

In past years, they have used the "disaster" channels. Who knows, they might even try out some of the "digital" stuff! I've listened every year, and there is always something going on!

Yeah, I went down there a few years ago, I could only imagine what you could hear. "Disaster" pretty much sums it up. LOL. Guess I'm gettin older. Don't think I'll brave the crowd this year. Plan on monitoring from right here.

"Liver Bend"

Yep, Disaster Channels were used by CPD. They have also used City Net 1,2. HCSO was using Mutual 2,3 and sometimes County Net 1,2.
EMS liked to hang out on their TAC 3 for on site operations.
The Riverbend people were using some HT's that looked like they worked on the UHF band.
Of course the FRS channels were a hoot too.
Be a good time to take a 396 there and Close Call some stuff.
And don't forget all the people who drop anchor in boats and hang out in the river behind the stage - they sometimes chatter on the VHF marine channels.

Thanks for the info guys. Probably won't get close enough to pick up any of the FRS stuff. Don't plan on leaving Ringgold. Much too crowded for me. I have never monitored during the Fesival, Kinna lookin forward to it.
