Have some freq for RTA. They are old, and I obtained them from a inactive site. Haven't had any luck searching around. Anyone have any info on this system? (or did they go to MDTs?)
I lived in Riverside for 48 years, never had any luck finding the RTA buses. However, the city recreation & community services shuttles are on 452.8 PL141.3.
Same here, been searching for them as well... been trying to watch the UHF input frequencies for a close bus transmitting on my SDR dongle.. I keep looking for an antenna on the buses but haven't been unable to find one yet. There has to be some form of communications on them... But I am still looking...
They've had licenses for UHF and 900 MHz conventional analog at various times, all expired: https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/General_M...imit_select=1&sortstring=,+lic_name,+file_num . The most recent (expired 2022) was for just two low-power UHF mobiles and 22 "paging receivers" (whatever those might be). Their site says they have direct radio communications with drivers, so yeah, probably leasing/renting radios on one of the trunking system providers or LTE.
Any one had any luck with MRA Santiago #2, LTR system? Only listed for RivCo, has Dial a Ride, and bus service
, some tow cos, Have programmed in, but haven't heard a peep out of that system... Bus service is listed for Riverside, and Temecula areas- Im "line of sight" with Santiago, should be able to pick up, but so far, nothing...
Been listening to MRA (Mobile Relay Assoc), Fisher Wireless, and Communication Innovations Trunked Digitals Systems, I found a Group of frequencies for one of them that isn't listed in RR, but is in the FCC Database (NXDN or IDAS), my SDR dongle and 536HP is hearing a quick burst but not picking up any voice traffic.. Pretty much the only activity I am hearing is on MRA with the Norwalk Transit on Santiago Peak, I have picked up other activity on unknown talk groups... I don't know if any of you listen to the Hemet School District (MOTOTURBO), their bus talk group, but they seem to be very unorganized... Just saying...
If you really want to find the system get hold of a trx1 and signal sweep (whistlers close call). Yes it will pick up dmr uplink and conventional that unidens cannot (simply picks up the frequency when mic is pushed) so if they are using dmr it will work and on all others like nxdn digital etc. If they are using two way radios it will capture it. Hang by a bus, ride it or hang by a terminal a bit. Done this many times and caught many dmrs as well as others if this helps.
