RNC .mem files (ARC250 / ARC780) NOW AVAILABLE

[nydxa]

For those who use Butel’s ARC250 and ARC780 scanner software, the NYDXA is please to offer .mem files for frequencies we anticipate that will be used during the upcoming Republican National Convention in New York City. These frequencies were submitted by our members. We anticipate that the list will grow and we’ll do our best to update the files as often as possible. In the very near future this page will also offer similar files for various New York and New Jersey agencies. If you have such file you would like to share, please e-mail them to us at NYDXA@yahoo.com

For the benefit of those who don’t use Butel’s software, we’re also making the frequencies available in an Excel format and Adobe PDF.

The files can be downloaded from http://www.nydxa.org/mem.html

I was there this weekend, got as close to Madison Square Garden as possible, and didn't hear anything on the frequencies listed on the temp license. This was on Saturday, and one would guess that they would have to be using the radios pretty heavily for last-minute preparations. Maybe one would have to be inside the Garden to hear anything, but I'm surprised I didn't hear anything on even the repeater channels.

If anyone gets an opportunity to listen during the next few days, please let us know how they're using these frequencies. I think it's always interesting how freqs are used for special events.
