Two in custody somewhere on University - sorry - work got in the way. It was a short chase. Victim seemed to be conscious enroute to the hospital as she was giving a description of the vehicle to the LT officer transporting her.

C470 & Quebec area also I believe pursuit and vehicle shot out probably related, req more investigators and closing lots of roads for the crime scene.

CENTENNIAL, Colo. -- Investigators from several jurisdictions are working on a possible case of road rage in which a car was shot at while it was traveling on C-470 approaching Quebec.

The bullet blew out the front side windows on a red Pontiac, which stopped on C-470. Two people were in the car at the time of the shooting and one of them was injured, 7News reported.

Douglas County investigators closed off the right lanes of westbound C470 traffic was getting by only in the left lane.

A suspect was arrested a short distance away on University Boulevard between Arapahoe Road and Dry Creek Road. Arapahoe County deputies said the suspect was driving a silver Buick sedan.

It was not immediately known if a weapon was found in the vehicle.

Not Road Rage

DOUGLAS COUNTY - At the height of rush hour, travel along C-470 came to a halt after men in one vehicle opened fire on three women in a second vehicle, injuring the driver.

Police say the suspects, two males, were in a car, traveling westbound on C-470, when they pulled up next to another vehicle and fired multiple shots at the female driver. There were at least two other female passengers in the victim's car, according to police.

Police are not describing the attack as road rage, but instead as a carry-over from a fight Thursday night which involved the suspects and at least one of the women in the targeted vehicle.

Traffic on C-470 was severely delayed Friday morning as authorities treated the one injured woman and searched the crime scene.

Lone Tree Police said the driver is undergoing surgery at a Littleton hospital for serious injuries. The two female passengers were not injured.

The two male suspects fled the scene and were later arrested near East Geddes Avenue and South University Boulevard by Arapahoe County law enforcement. Their identities were not immediately released. They are being held at Douglas County jail. Police say they seized the car and weapon.

Authorities closed all but one of the lanes on westbound C-470 for nearly three hours to allow the completion of their initial investigation.
