Yep they are doing high altitude tests...they where taken out of service for the military because they had a nasty habit of crashing

I think they use them on a limited basis still, my bro in-law was a crash firefighter at new river MCAS...

ahhhhhhhhhhhh, the fleecing of america. I guess the Marines can't take the Air Force's word that it can operate at high altitude. However, its a wonder to see the thing fly.

It's the plane no one in the military wanted, but the DOD insists on buying them. They've been trying to keep them from crashing for many, many years.
