Was wondering about the New Roanoke City Fire Computer dispatch,they use to transmit it on one of the old non P25 talk groups but I no longer hear it on that. Was seeing if anyone knew what it was switched to?
It should be transmitting on the old analog trunking system fire dispatch channel. This transmitted signal is just for those in the field that want to monitor and a audible confirmation to the dispatcher that it is working. The actual alert to the station is done over the computer network but should say the same thing in the stations dispacted at the same time as this radio announcement. It is not heard in stations that are not dispatched.
