Newport News dispatched 2 Central Units and 3 North units to Pharm Fresh on Chatham Dr. in Newport News for a robbery from person. Black Male wearing a ski mask with a silver handgun placed gun to the back of a woman's head as she was leaving the store, demanding money. The suspect was last seen running toward home depot (adjacent to the grocery store). Victim had no injuries, all radio traffic is on Central 1 (talkgroup 3888).

Edit: 0650: It was determined the suspect was unable to rob any money from the victim, so it is an attempted robbery. Units searched the adjacent parking lots, all of the outdoor sheds at Home Depot, have not found the suspect. There are no K-9 units on duty, seems as though he got away.
