From what I am hearing, Rockbridge's new system is due to go active sometime around September 2017.

DATABASE MANAGER(S), You might what to make note of this information over on the page for Rockbridge.

Here is what I have on the system so far:

Two licenses for P-25 Trunking (Phase-1) issued: WQXF987 & WQXJ324. From the locations on the licenses, it appears there will be a North and South simulcast systems, with info from the map, the dividing line between North and South appears to be State Road 623.

WQXF987 appears to be the P-25 trunked simulcast system for the NORTH-END of the county.
453.61250
453.95000
460.06250
460.28750

WQXJ324
appears to be the P-25 trunked simulcast system for the SOUTH-END of the county.
453.15000
453.52500
453.72500
460.36250

Additionally, during the same time period that the above licenses were issued, another license: WQXG436 was issued for is only for 453.32500 MHz (narrowband conventional FM) with three sites. Listed for 500 pagers.

Site-1 - THE KNOB RD, GOSHEN (ROCKBRIDGE) VA
Site-2 - 680C Ridge Road, Davis (ROCKBRIDGE) VA
Site-3 - Big Bend Road, Lexington (ROCKBRIDGE) VA

Could this be a new countywide paging channel for public safety, for after the transition to trunking? The same frequency is currently their Fire Dispatch channel under callsign: WPKX406.

Comments, input anyone?

What happened to the 800 portion of the system?

I have high hopes of finally picking them from here at home since they are putting a tower in Clifton Forge. (East end)

800mhz is for vehicle repeaters.
Okay that's strange.

It seems to show three sites although it only lists one location so far. Four frequencies per site. Power 3w, 4w and 25w. Also four designations like FB and MO.

Each set of the four frequencies is listed with 1, 2, and 3 next to them which would seem to indicate 3 sites.

The listed site is in Buena Vista. Nothing other than placeholders on the other two shown.
