Has Rocklin switched to digital, I don't see them in the data base as a change but they sure are quiet.

Thanks.....

This should probably get moved to the Sacramento section. I don't believe they've switched yet. I just heard them on analog. They stay fairly quiet. I used to fall asleep with them on when I lived next to the fire station in Rocklin. They would go nights without doing any calls, other nights I'd have to shut it off to get some sleep.

I still hear them in analog. They are in Placer county, not Sacramento.

Considering they use the same PL and input frequency to Red Bluff City Fire Net and come over our repeater 115 miles away; no they are not digital yet darn it. Loud and clear up north unfortunately.

Rocklin Not Digital

The City of Rocklin has not switched to digital. What you are hearing on the Placer County Digital system is a temporary hard patch with Rocklin PD, Fire, Auburn, Lincoln and CHP. Placer hard patched it to put a load on the new system and for range testing.

Rocklin has no plans on switching to digital, however they have all digital ready radios and base stations so they can access the new system when it is ready.
