Good afternoon. I'm helping a ex cop friend program his uniden bcd325p2. I never owned Uniden, but trying to help. I got every town I want except rocky hill to work. Database shows p25e, which I think is encrypted, but my whistler1080 gets RH flawlessly. Any ideas? I programmed Glastonbury with NAC codes and it comes in perfect. I believe both programmed the same way

If it's p25e (little e) then it's 50/50 on whether it's encrypted or in the clear. If you're hearing nothing, they're probably enc right now

True, but my ws1080 picks them up. If encrypted I hear a busy tone and see E. On uniden I hear nothing ever

I would triple check the programming for freq, NAC, ATT, or lockout. I was just hearing them in the clear on 453.9250 $974. They are mostly out of reception range from Granby but I was able to copy clear voice a few minutes ago.

I was told they had a Sgt or LT that wanted his midnight shift encrypted, but days and eves were clear

That's all I'm going to say about that.

There is a question there?
If it is what is the "$", that is the abbreviation for NAC.
It's HEX or DEC. The ones on RR are Hex (if I recall correctly).

The DB Entry is for Hex and 974 is still their NAC.
The "$" for NAC is a throw back to some of the first directory entries, and is something I personally would like to see retired.

Ok so strangely enough, the fire channels using NAC 601 and 602 receive fine. Probably some stupid thing I'm doing, but I'm not giving up
Scrat

I had been hearing them on my 325, but I'll check again.
Is the "e" a recent change?
It is not. Been in the DB since 2021.

The submitter mentioned they have selectable encryption.

Every time I've heard them they've been in the clear.
