I was monitoring the lower freqs posted in the database for the power company, and have gotten nothing. I mean nothing.

I'm pretty sure that they are on a motorola trunkated system but I don't know anything about their control channels, or settings.

I have searched, and found chatter on 856.4125 & 857.8375 That's all I can provide at this time.

Anybody know more?

857.8375 is part of the LDS System (3D38).

I show 856.4125 as being part of the Questar Network (1A1A). Current Control Channel is 858.5375.

For UP&L, Rocky Mountain Power, Pacificorp, Scottish Power, or whatever they are called this week, try scanning from 153.485 MHz to 153.71 MHz, in 15 KHz steps. Their main channel for the Salt Lake Valley is 153.62 MHz. At one time, 451.15 MHz was in use, but last time I checked it had gone quiet.

As for system 1A1A, Questar Infocom's system on Farnsworth, it is a hybrid system (combination of type I and Type II fleets), and you will need a fleetmap to follow most of those tg's. For details see my Questar page.

Questar Infocom's Trunked Systems

edit- looking at that page, I noticed that I have forgotten to update my entry for system 5D17, Lake Mountain, (also type I/Type II hybrid) with the results from recent monitoring. I'll get that taken care of within the next day or two.
