Well, Its that time of year, where there are tricks and treats.
And The rogers pumpkin patrol will be out in some of the major cities.

What radio system do they operate on?
I am in ottawa, but i suppose they are in toronto as well.

They use cell phones.

Most of the old Rogers Cable repeaters have been shut down.

Will they be handing out poor cable service and internet use overage charges this year?

No, but one never knows, RR might be handing out a few surprises of its own...

I remember when Rogers took over Ottawa and Skyline Cablevision, they had VHF
simplex frequencies. They also were big users of the TimeTrac MPT system for a
while. I think they had something on 800Mhz at one point. Some of their trucks had 3-4
antennas on them, but no longer. Times change.

Not knowing of any other special local operations this year, I guess the usual PD/FS/EMS
channels will be what to listen to. One might also check the 11m GRS and FRS/GMRS
channels.

Just remembered....they were on 900MHz Mobitex for a while.

Ya i suppose the FRS channels would have something on maybe.
It will be a good night to listen to the scanner anyway, too see what tricks the PD and FD are going to encounter from our little halloween troublemakers.
