I was driving through Romulus and noticed a slew of undercover Chargers and Durangos sitting on the freeway overpasses and waiting in the emergancy turnarounds. What frequencies can you hear their traffic on?

Also what time of day is the best time to listen to Romulus PD traffic enforcement? Do they have low power radios? Do I have to be nearby to hear the radio traffic? I live 10 miles away. I know I can hear dispatch but can I hear the car to car traffic?

Romulus Pd freqs is the one to listen to .Most of those Chargers out on I94 are Taylor pd around I94 and Telegraph rd .There used to be a old Blazer looked like a old broke down truck that sat on top of Vinning Rd overpass to I94 running radar for Romulus I think Romulus only has the 2 freqs they use I dont think they went to Western Wayne Co TRS yet

I have listened to the Romulus speed traps before and can tell you they are usually on 156.150. This is a wayne county car/car common freq and sometimes used for undercover stuff as well.

Most of the time a sgt is sitting in a silver jeep grand cherokee on the Vinning road overpass running the radar down onto I-94. He calls the violations out and they just take turns pulling people over.

156.15 used to basically be the common detective channel when everyone was on VHF. I still hear Dearborn DB on there from time to time, although most of their DB activity is on UHF now.
I'm sure any department still on VHF has it as some channel on the radio.
