Its a Divisional base frequency separate from individual station setups. Think of it as the 700Mhz version of Blue channel.

Sounded clear from OC with no problems.

That is awesome... never would guess that... somebody was searching all bands and found it...? I’m going to search my area with no p.l. And look for this.. is this a back up ? or they going to use this for the new blue? Or can this be used for other allied agencies to use as an access channel instead of the old antiquated 480 uhf band. Since it looks like most dept. are going to this band of 700/800 MHz..

The division base frequency has been in the Db since the 700Mhz rollout.

The base extender was designed for a station base, For officers to use while at the station instead of their conventional repeater lowland to 700mhz vehicle extender. Not a wide area repeater...my understanding. Thx

Hearing some comms tonight on the CHP 700 mhz base.

774.30625 NAC 7E6

Sounds like it could be patched to their low band divisional lowband. Wouldn't be surprised if this could be the start of conversion of the statewide system to 700mhz in the next few years. Just a guess if there is ongoing testing.

So it looks like the CHP Tac 1 LA on 39.10 PL 179.9 is being patched to the Blue Base Divisional 774.30625 NAC 7E6

Know it's after the fact, but found this online from @ChrisP on his Fedfiles Blog, might want to save it for the future.

The Fed Files Blog: Tournament of Roses Parade

I’m fairly certain that the majority of that was traffic unrelated to the event. There were only a few federal freqs used this year and most of them were simplex. And only a few of those agencies were present.
